About me

I grew up on a farm in the Eastern Cape and currently live in a small forest north of Pretoria with my husband, mother, two dogs, and 23 chickens. My artworks form part of several private and professional collections locally and abroad, and I have taken part in numerous student and group shows. My preferred medium is oil painting but I also create collages and sometimes, when I'm feeling particularly ambitious,  large-scale installations. My work often alludes to psychologically laden aspects of the human condition, and my paintings focus on intimate details of everyday life, to elevate the mundane.  When I'm not painting or drawing, I am probably tending to our jungle, having a nap, or out birding.
